Effect of the Basicity on Mineralogical Phases and Micro-Structure of Dephosphorization Slag in the New Double Slag Converter Steelmaking Process

In the present work, effect of basicity at lower range from 0.98 to 2.13 on dephosphorization hot metal 1623 K was studied through high-temperature laboratorial experiments. With increase 2.13, P and C contents in rapidly decrease first, then gradually increase, respectively. From scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) diffraction (XRD) results, with basicity, phase containing high content changes matrix into phosphorus (P)-rich phase. Under experimental conditions, P-rich can only be precipitated liquid slag when is higher than 1.55, which a benefit dephosphorization. As Raman intensity P-O-Ca structure unit significantly that P-O-Si unit, most exists small amount unit. slag, activity coefficient P2O5, ?(P2O5) , decreases, while increases.
